Questions about the recalled drug Vioxx.

Our client, Carol Ernst, was the first to sue and beat corporate giant Merck. The case of Ernst v. Merck concluded on August 19th, 2005, and the jury found Vioxx was the cause of husband Bob Ernst’s death. Although several thousand cases are expected to be filed against Merck over its drug Vioxx, this was the first case to go to trial, and will no doubt set the precedent for the others to follow.

If you or someone you know has suffered a cardiac event after taking Vioxx, please contact us right away. We’ll be glad to provide you with a free evaluation to determine if you are entitled to legal recourse.

Although Merck & Co., Inc. recalled its "blockbuster" drug Vioxx on September 30th, 2004, our team of lawyers have been involved in litigation regarding Vioxx since 2001.

Only now is Merck beginning to admit what we’ve known all along – that the drug causes a considerable increase in cardiac related events. We already have many cases in litigation involving clients that have had a variety of traumatic injuries, including strokes, heart attacks and even death.

We currently have cases files in state and federal courts across the country, have already deposed numerous Merck representatives, and have several additional trial dates in 2005.
